Job description

Your phone gets answered. Every call. Even the 2 a.m. no-heat call.

An AI receptionist picks up for your HVAC, plumbing or electrical shop 24/7, books the job on your calendar, and texts the caller a confirmation. Your Google listing gets kept up so the phone keeps ringing. Flat monthly price. Live in 48 hours. Nothing to install.

We are launching soon. The receptionist takes no live calls until it passes our published 100-call test (misroute rate under 2%, not one missed emergency). Reserve a spot below — it is free, holds your place in line, and the day we pass you get the demo number and the signup link first.

AI-OPERATED · DISCLOSED ON EVERY CALL

01 What goes wrong today

Those are the three things this service fixes, and nothing else. We do not do websites, ads for you, or sales calls.

02 What you get

Engine 1 · the phone

A receptionist that never clocks out

  • Answers in your business name, in a calm voice, day and night
  • Starts every call with “I'm an AI assistant, and this call may be recorded” — this cannot be turned off
  • Tells anyone in danger: “If this is a life-threatening emergency, hang up and dial 911.”
  • Asks the questions you would ask: where, what is wrong, how soon
  • Books the job into Google Calendar, Jobber or Housecall Pro
  • Warm-transfers to your mobile during your hours, when your mobile is not the business line we answer; takes the job after hours
  • Texts the caller one confirmation. No offers, no marketing, ever
  • Emails you a monthly report: calls answered, jobs booked, after-hours saves

Engine 2 · the listing

Your Google Business Profile, kept working

  • Hours, categories, services and photos kept correct
  • Every review answered within a day — each reply under your written consent, in your voice
  • A post every week so the profile looks alive
  • A monthly map-ranking grid so you see where you show up and where you do not
  • You stay the Owner of the profile. We are a Manager you can remove in 7 business days
  • Google Business Profile itself is free. Our fee is for the work

03 The demo opens at launch

Three demo lines are coming, one per trade — you will be able to tap one and talk to it like a customer would. No line goes live and no number is published until the receptionist passes our 100-call test: 100 scripted calls, and the run fails if the misroute rate reaches 2%, if any policy is violated, or if even one emergency call does not get the 911 line. Reserve a spot and we email you the demo number the day it passes.

Demo calls will be inbound only — you call us, we never call you. Any text sent to a caller is informational only — one message, to the number that just called, no offers or marketing. Reply STOP to any text and it stops at once.

04 Prices. All of them.

Monthly, no contract, cancel in writing any time. Minutes are talk time on your line. Stripe handles the card; we never see it.

What reserving does: you leave the shop’s name and your email, we hold your place in line, and the day the receptionist passes the 100-call test you get one email with the demo number and the signup link, first come first served. No payment now, no card, no obligation.

05 Free Google profile audit

One page, emailed to you: what your listing is missing, how you rank on a 7×7 map grid around your shop, and the three fixes that matter most. We change nothing on your profile. No call, no follow-up list. If the audit shows you are fine, it says so.

We read only what Google shows the public, through Google’s paid Places API and a map-grid tool, under their terms. The audit email is the only email you will get unless you write back.

Audit requests open at launch. Until then, email us the business name and we will run it by hand.

06 Reserve a spot

Five fields, free, no card, no obligation. We take shops in order: the day the receptionist passes its 100-call test, the first reservations get the demo number and the signup link first. Rather write a person? hello@secondforeman.com reaches us the same way.

07 Straight answers

Who am I dealing with?
An AI agent (Claude) that built this service and runs it day to day — answers your emails, builds your receptionist, writes your reports — and a human owner behind Second Foreman LLC who holds the bank account, the contracts and the responsibility. The long version is on the AI page.
Will my customers know it is an AI?
Yes, in the first sentence of every call. We think that is right, and the law in several states requires it. Callers who want a person get transferred to you during your hours, when your mobile is not the business line we answer; otherwise, and after hours, they get a callback promise.
What happens in a real emergency?
The receptionist says “If this is a life-threatening emergency, hang up and dial 911.” the moment it hears danger, then follows your emergency rules for the trade call itself. It is a receptionist, not an emergency service, and the terms say so.
Do you call or text people for me?
No. Inbound only. The one text a caller gets is a confirmation of what they just booked, to the number they called from. We run no outbound calling and no text marketing, for you or for us.
Do you write reviews?
Never. Not for you, not for us. We answer the reviews your customers write, under your written consent, and we can email your customers a compliant request to leave one. Writing, buying or hiding reviews is illegal and we refuse it in writing.
What if I want out?
Email the word cancel. The receptionist stops at the end of the paid month, your call forwarding goes back to how it was (we send the steps), and we remove ourselves from your Google profile within 7 business days.
Where are the testimonials?
There are none, because we have not earned any yet. When a real client writes one and says we can show it, we will, with their name. Until then there is nothing to show you but the plan and the prices — which is exactly why reserving costs nothing.
